Charlotte is a proud mother of three lively, bright children—Alby, Coco, and Molly—who attend Byron Community Primary School. Since 2019, Charlotte has served on the school’s Board of Directors. She and her husband, James, feel incredibly fortunate to raise their Jarjums on Arakwal Country, spending as much time as possible together on Tallows Beach.

Ellie is a Visual Arts, Photographic & Digital Media Educator. Her company Lucida Learning provides innovative learning experiences for students and teachers. She is also an Independent Curator.

Shinelle is a Caribbean-born woman who grew up in America and now residing in Byron Bay for the last 11 years. She holds a Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, currently practicing as a clinical and research audiologist. Despite facing extreme adversity, her mum sought the best possible education for her and her sisters. Shinelle’s success, tenacity and grit is a testament to the importance of high quality well balanced formative education. Her travels, diverse background and experience in academia have provided the tools to now focus on founding a dream school for her son and daughter. 

Katrina is an invested mother, committed to seeing the Community School expand into High school years. She believes children can reach their full potential when they are truely connected, supported and seen.

Martin is currently the chair at BCPS and working to ensure the long term thriving of the Primary school. He has a passion for values based education and fully backs and supports an expansion into the high school years.

Kellie is inspired by the power of community-driven initiatives to create meaningful supportive opportunities for children and families. Kellie is dedicated to finding the perfect home for this transformative project, connecting with land owners, developers, council, and key community stakeholders. With a degree in business marketing and ongoing studies in nutritional science, Kellie brings a unique perspective, blending her passion for health, wellness, and education to help create a school that will be a lasting asset for generations to come.
